Whitening is accomplished through two appointments, neither of which requires sedation. During your first visit, impressions of your upper and lower teeth are taken. After your appointment, we use your impressions to make customized whitening trays that fit your mouth without causing discomfort.

On your second visit, we make sure the trays fit your mouth. We then give you a special whitening gel that you put in the trays. You can use the trays any time in the comfort of your own home. The gel penetrates the pores of your teeth to remove the stains. You will have a brighter, whiter smile usually within two weeks!

Using customized trays to whiten your teeth has distinct advantages over store-bought whiteners. The custom fit of the trays allows the whitening gel to reach all the surfaces of your teeth. Mass produced whitening systems usually reach only limited areas. Also, once the trays are made, you can reuse them whenever you want. The only time you may need to make new trays is if changes occur to your mouth.
