I hadn’t been to the dentist in years. Sarah made me feel very comfortable and she was very encouraging. Nice conversationalist. Dr Cottongame has an excellent bedside manner. He was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend going there, especially if you have any apprehensions, they will make you feel comfortable!

We were searching for a new family dentist and chose Dr. Atkins for my first visit as new patient. This is a delayed review, but a well-deserved one. I have dental anxiety, Dr. Atkins was exceptionally patient, kind, and compassionate. He took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel safe and comfortable. I was scheduled treatment for cavity work and a molar extraction. What truly stood out was that he personally called me the evening after my extraction to check on how I was doing. That level of care made me feel like he genuinely cares about his patients, not just as cases, but as people.

Dr. Cottongame was incredible knew just what was wrong! He set up a plan gave me something to the fix the problem not cover with painkillers and set me up with an endodonics specialist! He’s really good would highly recommend!

Great staff- professional, friendly and efficient. I needed an appointment quickly and was seen within a few hours. Doctor diagnosed the problem, arranged for full xrays and a cleaning during this appointment and I left feeling reassured with a referral if I needed it down the road. I’m so glad I found Ellis County Family Dentistry. The staff treated my daughter and me like family. Not only did I get the best cleaning I’ve had in years, but it was the most comfortable, easiest experience ever. I highly recommend this dental practice. Seriously THE BEST!

Been to several dentists throughout the years… this is the best place to go to for dental cleanings, fillings, etc. They have a no pressure approach. They do it right. Whole atmosphere is excellent from when you walk in until you walk out. Very friendly, My whole family uses them and will co time to use them. They’re just hands down, THE BEST!

As always, Dr Seth Atkins and his dental assistants Were gentle, thorough, and explained Why they were taking images to measure for my retainers and crown for my implant Very thorough and painless! The staff is so friendly, the establishment is clean, and most of all, Dr. Colby Cottongame is awesome. He treated me with the utmost care, gentle. He explained steps by steps all he was going to do. He doesn't pressure you about dental care. He knows how to communicate very well with patients. He is just super. And for the record, on my very first first I had a tooth extraction (my choice) and a crown. He was wonderful. His assistants were just fantastic. These people really know how to care for you. I highly recommend this dentistry.

My experience with this office was amazing. Beginning with Jenny at the front desk and how she made my making an appointment so smooth despite my recent name change and other issues with my insurance documentation. Jennifer did a fantastic job with all of my first visit procedures and I really enjoyed meeting Dr. Cottongame. Very professional office. I actually look forward to my next visit in 6 months!

My son and I went for our first visit on 9/17/25. I couldn’t be happier with the service we received. My adult son has a disability and Tera was incredibly sweet and patient with him. I had Jana and she explained everything she was doing . We both got great reports on our teeth from Dr. Atkins and the hygienists and we scheduled our next appointments. I highly recommend them .

I highly recommend this office. I have very bad anxiety when it come to dental visits and everyone here from the counter to the hygienist and the dentist Dr. Seth Atkins was amazing. Truly the best dentist office I have ever been to the work was quick and they made sure I wasn't in any pain. Would probably drive hours if I had to!

Dr Atkins has been my dentist for 4-5 years. I have had extensive dental work performed and could not be happier. His practice is excellent from the moment you are greeted by Jenny to the dental hygienists and technicians. Every employee projects a positive attitude. I talked my husband into changing to Dr Atkins and he had his first visit this week and now he knows why I drive so far to this practice. He was very impressed with his cleaning and thorough exam. You are in excellent hands with Dr Atkins and his team!

Never have we ever experienced this kind of treatment!!! Staff amazing provider as well, this is not your typical dental office where once they(other dental offices) see commercial insurance we are viewed as money symbols and not patients.. Here at Ellis County Family Dentistry they saw my family and treated us as their family… I am just amazed!!!

This is my second time at Ellis County FAMILY Dentistry. Jennifer does an excellent job as my dental hygienist. I’m sure the other hygienists are just as welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly as Jennifer. Dr. Cottongame is very down to earth. Not only did he give me a thorough exam after my cleaning ( unlike some drive thru experiences I have had elsewhere in the past) He gave me some excellent advice and referrals! See you all in 6 months.

Dr Cottongame is the best, he is good at what he does and he makes the experience less stressful. I broke a tooth and he gave me three options, the finance dept came in and went over the cost of each and I was able to pick what best suited my budget.

No waiting! When your appointment is made, say at 10:00, you'll be in the dentist's chair with an attentive, friendly dental assistant at 10. Dr. Cottongame discusses each issue thoroughly & gives every option its pros & cons. If a tooth he treated has another problem later, he will deduct the prior work's fee. Now, that's a fair deal! A beautiful office & a wonderful office staff too!
