Dr Cottongame is the best, he is good at what he does and he makes the experience less stressful. I broke a tooth and he gave me three options, the finance dept came in and went over the cost of each and I was able to pick what best suited my budget.

No waiting! When your appointment is made, say at 10:00, you'll be in the dentist's chair with an attentive, friendly dental assistant at 10. Dr. Cottongame discusses each issue thoroughly & gives every option its pros & cons. If a tooth he treated has another problem later, he will deduct the prior work's fee. Now, that's a fair deal! A beautiful office & a wonderful office staff too!

Today was my first visit to Ellis County Family Dentistry and it was an experience like none other. From the massaging chairs to their top of the line imaging equipment I was impressed. Jennifer did a thorough job on my cleaning and walked me through every step of the process. Dr. Cottongame made me feel comfortable during my exam and I can tell that he truly cares about his patients.

I highly recommend this dentist office. The staff is just amazing, kind, and friendly yet professional and accommodating. I have severe anxiety and they are all so understanding and put me to ease quickly. The dentist, Dr Atkins is wonderful, a fantastic listener, great at explaining care plans, he makes sure I'm informed. Dr Atkins attention to detail and dental work and skill is amazing, like next level. I have had a lot of work done and a long journey ahead but so far my teeth look and feel fabulous. My visit to Ellis County Dentistry was a real enjoyable experience from first contact with receptionist Jenny who set the tone with her cheerful friendly personality then next my hygienist Jana who made me very comfortable with her professionalism and friendliness added with her sense of humor , she was great !!! Not to leave anyone out , Dr Cottongame saw me before I left to inspect Jana’s work which he said was excellent and I completely agree 100% . Final person to meet on my way out was office manager Angela who was super friendly and helpful , which left me with a smile on my face , overall my visit was a 5 star experience and makes me look forward to my next visit , good job team !!!

Anyone should feel right at home when entering Dr. Atkins office because it starts with Jenny when I call in for an appointment:) All of the office team are very friendly & helpful. My favorite hygienist is Jana but I'm sure the others are just as nice. Today it was good to be back for my 6 month appointment. Jana is such a good friend and always asks about my family. One thing I really like about Dr Atkins besides being an excellent dentist, he always says, “ if you need anything don’t hesitate to call.” And he really means it!!

The best dental provider in Waxahachie. I have never encountered any clinic that the provider himself will make a follow up after your procedure is done except for Ellis County Family Dentistry. Dr Atkins never fails to call you few hours after your procedure is done. Simply the best customer service and best patient care.

Today was my first time visiting Ellis County Family Dentistry and I had the best experience from the time I walked in to the time I left. I called in the afternoon with a horrible toothache and they were able to get me in at 8:00 the next morning. Dr. Cottongame and his staff made me so comfortable and were very attentive. I’ve been going to ECFD for many years. I have always had excellent customer service and patient care. The hygienists are wonderful, front desk is friendly and accommodating and Dr. Adkins is friendly, down to earth, and professional. I’ve even brought my son here now, in addition to my parents and husband. I met Dr Cottongame last week and he is very thorough and good with kids. Highly recommend.
