Amazing experience. I love this office and the staff. Tara did a great job and Dr. Explained everything perfectly. I felt very comfortable the entire time.

The best dental provider in Waxahachie. I have never encountered any clinic that the provider himself will make a follow up after your procedure is done except for Ellis County Family Dentistry. Dr Atkins never fails to call you few hours after your procedure is done. Simply the best customer service and best patient care.

Never had a better experience. Didn’t feel a thing. And the patience. Didn’t have to wait. Was highly recommended by a co-worker about a year ago. Was hesitant because of previous experience. Wish I had come earlier.

Today was my first time visiting Ellis County Family Dentistry and I had the best experience from the time I walked in to the time I left. I called in the afternoon with a horrible toothache and they were able to get me in at 8:00 the next morning. Dr. Cottongame and his staff made me so comfortable and were very attentive. I highly recomend this practice to everyone!

Our family has been transferred many times over the years and with each move, have had to find a good dentist. I cannot say enough about this dental office. It is clean, friendly, state-of-the-art, thorough and they give you options on costs and procedures. So thankful to have found them!

I was very happy with the service and attention to detail with 2 issues. One fitted with temporary cap & Doctor was easy to communicate. Have to have 1 wisdom extracted due to decay & cracking in 3 weeks.

I’ve been going to ECFD for many years. I have always had excellent customer service and patient care. The hygienists are wonderful, front desk is friendly and accommodating and Dr. Adkins is friendly, down to earth, and professional. I’ve even brought my son here now, in addition to my parents and husband. I met Dr Cottongame last week and he is very thorough and good with kids. Highly recommend.

This is the best dental team I have experienced in 40+ years. They are kind and friendly, but even more, up to date on the latest technology to make dentistry more effective and simpler for the client. The hygienists and dentists as well the front office staff are all class A” people! I highly recommend them to anyone who wants healthy teach without the pain!

Great communication and very friendly and sweet staff. The office is very clean and up to date. The chair was a massage chair and it was nice while she was cleaning my teeth. My son also goes there and he loves the staff and how calm they make him feel.

I was worried I wouldn't I find another dentist after the dentist I was seeing for 20 years moved away. I found Ellis county and I love the dentist and staff there! They are very nice and professional. I had an emergency situation and they were there for me! I'm thankful for this place!

This place is awesome, the staff are always so friendly, Dr. Atkins is always helpful and attentive. Sara is a great hygienist, great with patients and took the time to explain everything she was doing, and did a great job cleaning my teeth.

My husband and I have been patients since we moved here 12 or more years ago, before kids. Now my kidos go there too. Very family friendly, super sweet staff, and both Dentist are awsome.

I have a huge anxiety when it comes to dental work. My first visit with Dr. Atkins was awesome and I will be going back! The entire staff was friendly and comforting to me. Excellent customer service! Everyone from the front receptionists to the dental assistant, Sara, who took my x rays and performed my teeth cleaning were friendly, patient and took the time to answer any questions I had. Sara went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and took time to be personable and show she cared. I was offered a blanket to make sure I was warm enough, the dental chair had a back massager in it. The exam, x rays and cleaning all went very smoothly. At the end, Dr. Atkins was very nice and answered all my questions about possible future dental needs without trying to up sell or push any products. I came in bc I had read good things about Ellis County Family Dentistry on Facebook and they offered a new patient package that covered an exam, full x rays and teeth cleaning at a very affordable rate. I had a great dental experience today and will be back in 6 months for another cleaning. I would highly recommend Dr. Atkins and his staff.

Love love love! I’ve had 2 appointments with Ellis county family dentistry and they are so so wonderful! I have never looked forward to going to the dentist before choosing ECFD this year and there could not have been a better choice. I seriously despised going to the dentist my whole life and didn’t expect it to be any different here, but Jana took me by surprise at my first visit, with her enthusiastic approach. She was so welcoming and an enjoyable presence. All the staff was great, including front desk staff. I squeeze these appointments into my schedule while my mind is still at work, so the massage chairs are a nice touch and make the hour a relaxing experience. For those afraid or anxiously awaiting the unpleasant dentist experience, you will not go wrong here. I did not feel any pain or discomfort, and they took great care of me. Dr. Atkins is so kind and I can tell he cares about his patients.Highly recommend and have found my forever dentist.

I just had my 6 month cleaning at Ellis County Family Dentistry. I went in somewhat down and out but came away feeling on top of the world. Even when times are far from positive, the folks at Ellis County Family Dentistry have a way of putting a smile on your face. They are truly the best. They are upbeat, friendly and truly care about you as the patient. Most people "hate" going to the dentist but I always look forward to this visit. They are a truly awesome group of people.

I have always hated going to the dentist. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever been too. Everyone was so great and friendly and I would recommend them to everyone!! Taylor and Dr. Cottingham were wonderful and they really eased my fears!!!

I’ve been coming here ever since Seth bought the practice. The entire staff is warm, friendly, engaging, thoughtful and knowledgeable. They provide expert dental care while also focusing on patient comfort. Don’t ask for Jana to be your hygienist though. My family wants to keep her to ourselves. Everyone in the practice is top notch. Best dentist I’ve ever been to.

I am not one to typically write reviews but I am truly blown away by this practice and how phenomenal they are! Everybody dreads dentist appointments but they make it so easy and relaxing. Every single staff member is so gentle and kind and they all help you to really understand everything that’s going and it really makes the appointments easier. I had 3 fillings done today and my friends had me so nervous but I didn’t feel A THING and it went so smooth and quick. I have never experienced a dental office like this. Great job team!!!

They were so thorough & took their time with our cleaning. Then when I had to have 4 difficult teeth pulled they were so awesome giving me a pillow & blanket and making sure I was comfortable!

Had my first visit today but certainly won't be the last. We were referred by a friend and I am so glad we went with his suggestion. First time I have ever been to a dentist that has a massaging chair. Janna did a great job making me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Atkins was very nice and didn't pressure me to have dental work done although I know I need some. My husband went a couple of weeks ago and couldn't say enough good things about this practice!

This is the best Dentistry I have been to in Ellis county. First off the staff is wonderful and very caring. They want to ensure your comfort every minute you are there. Second, you couldn't ask for a better dentist. He explains what's going on and goes the extra mile. Recently I had lost a crown and they got me in quickly and they fixed me up and sent off my molding. My whole family goes here and I won't be trying anything new as long as they are around!

Found my new Dentist Family!!! But who is Dr. Atkins?I am a new patient. I have visited the location 3 times. Once for an initial visit and the last 2 for treatment. The staff is very friendly and pleasant to be around. I felt very welcomed. The providers are professional and explained everything in detail. I even received a follow up call after treatment.One observation is the plaque on the building says Dr. Atkins and the reviews I read before i visited talked about Dr. Atkins however my provider in all 3 visits was Dr. Cody Cottongame. I have yet to meet Dr. Atkins. If he walked up to me I wouldnt know him because I've never seen him. My daughter and husband are also.new patients and Dr. Cottongame visited with them also..no Dr. Atkins. Im wondering about that. Dr. Atkins could at least say hello to new patients that he won't be attending to since the practice says his name. And i see others that came to the facility after me as new patients saying how good Dr. Atkins is. Whats up with that? Although im.mentioning Dr. Atkins I am stuck on Dr. Cottongame, I am comfortable with him and like his work at this point.The facility is very well kept and COVID friendly. They are only allowing a certain number of patients in the building at one time and they take your temp. The massage chairs are.nice.Overall great place. They would have received 5 stars if i had met Dr. Atkins.*UPDATE...since my original post which received 4 stars...Dr. Atkins personally called me to introduce himself and apologized for the delay in meeting me. What a class act! I've upgraded my review to 5 stars. Thank you Dr. Cottongame and Dr. Atkins, my family and I are home.
